Mayor Miner to Open Outdoor Classroom in Kirk Park

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Mayor Stephanie A. Miner will open the newly constructed Outdoor Classroom in Kirk Park  Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 4:00 PM. The new facility is located in the Northwest section of Kirk Park near the intersection of Kirk Avenue and Kirk Park Drive.

The Outdoor Classroom in Kirk Park is part of the City of Syracuse Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP), aiming to better connect Onondaga Lake and Onondaga Creek to the community. The project was made possible with funding from the New York State Department of State. Secretary of State Cesar A. Perales will be on hand for the event.
