2016 Celebration Luncheon for Onondaga County Seniors: May is National “Older American’s Month”

Peter Headd, Deputy Commissioner and Executive Director, Onondaga County Office for Aging has announced the 2016 Celebration Luncheon for Onondaga County Seniors. It will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Drumlins, 800 Nottingham Road, Syracuse, NY 13224. Program and Luncheon start promptly at Noon.

May is National “Older American’s Month”, at the luncheon three Onondaga County residents will be honored; Senior Citizen of the Year, Esteemed Elder of the Year, and Senior Services Professional of the Year. A Delicious Lunch will be served with your choice of Chicken Florentine or Vegetable Lasagna.

Deputy Commissioner, Headd, adds, “This is a wonderful opportunity for us to take time from our hectic schedules to share a meal with, and honor those seniors who have spent a lifetime enriching Onondaga County. It’s also a fun, social time. We look forward to this annual event.”

All guests must register by Friday May 6th, 2016. The meals costs are as follows: Seniors Age 60+ – $5.00/each and their Guests under Age 60 – $17.00/each. Checks can be made payable to Onondaga County Elders, Inc. and should accompany the registration form.
