2020 Virtual Buy Local Bash Marketplace Extended Through Dec. 1

Event connects the community to small and locally owned businesses
for holiday shopping

Syracuse, NY – The virtual Buy Local Bash Marketplace, presented by AmeriCU, has been extended through Tuesday, Dec. 1. The event provides an opportunity to support local businesses this season.

“Over the past week we have seen incredible support for this event so we are extending it to enable more people to participate, and hopefully create a bigger impact for these retailers. Now you can do your Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday shopping  locally, with many of our participating vendors offering special deals through the Buy Local Bash.” said Andrew Fish, senior vice president of business development at CenterState CEO. “The interest in shopping local this year has been high and we are especially grateful to the community for their support of this event and the small and locally owned businesses that it supports. These businesses are what give our community its unique sense of place and are critical economic drivers. They are also the businesses that have borne the brunt of the COVID-19 economic crisis. We really hope that the community will continue to connect to these businesses through the Buy Local Bash Marketplace this holiday shopping season.”

Shoppers that visit locally owned, independent businesses through the Buy Local Bash Marketplace website gain access to special deals available from this unique line up of merchants. Locally owned businesses get visibility for their one-of-a-kind products and services across a larger community of potential customers.

“Participating in the Buy Local Bash Marketplace demonstrates my community pride and I have truly appreciated connecting with new shoppers through this event,” said Annie Taylor, founder of Annie Taylor Design and Buy Local Bash Marketplace vendor. “I love my hometown and have deep roots here. I also love the fact that supporting local businesses directly supports the local economy. More money stays in a community when purchases are made at locally owned businesses.”

“Peppino’s is pleased to be a part of CenterState CEO’s Buy Local Bash Marketplace and we are excited to be offering some exclusive deals through the event,” Sheila Dion, Catering Sales & Marketing Coordinator at Peppino’s Restaurant & Catering Co. “Being a part of the local community is important to us and we are excited to reach out to the community through this event and offer a discount to show that we appreciate our customers supporting small, family-owned businesses.”

The Buy Local Bash Marketplace also spreads awareness and support for SyracuseFirst’s mission of educating the community about the importance of buying local while also kicking off Buy Local Month, an effort to increase support for local independents during the holiday season. SyracuseFirst is a program of CenterState CEO focusing on buying local initiatives and awareness to support independent local businesses and entrepreneurs.
