A Faith Based Collaboration of the IMA (Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance); CFOC (Covenant Fellowship of Churches) and NEDBA (Northeastern District Baptist Association) held a press conference on Monday, March 25, 2019 at the Immanuel Temple COGIC located at 1509 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, NY. This event was to announce their alliance and collaborative efforts to work on quality of life issues for the citizens of Syracuse.
Their focus will be strengthening families; helping our community heal from the trauma of violence; providing a safe place for children to grow; supporting economic development activities that create jobs; and advocating for children within the public school system. Collectively the two groups represent over 50 churches & organizations. IMA and NEDBA will hold a community forum to discuss critical issues facing families in Syracuse, NY.

They’re concerned about job creation, workforce development, public school realignment, church and business relocation. “Our families want to know, with the development of the Syracuse Surge, Blueprint 15 and the 1-81 Project and what detailed consideration has been given to the impact on their quality of life. We have invited the NY Civil Liberties Union, The Allyn Foundation, Urban Jobs Task Forces, Syracuse City School District, Center State CEO and elected officials to speak to these matters. The entire community is invited to attend and participate.”
