Author, Motivational Speaker Manny Scott to Present at SCSD Superintendent’s Teacher Advisory Council Meeting

Author and motivational speaker Manny Scott will be presenting to SCSD teachers at the Superintendent’s Teacher Advisory Council (STAC) on Thursday, February 25.

Mr. Scott, an original Freedom Writer, will share a story that resonates with many in the District. After struggling in adolescence, Mr. Scott has gone on to inspire a hit movie, has written three books about helping others and achieving your dreams and he now leads Ink International, Inc., an educational consulting firm that aims to help increase student achievement and leader effectiveness.Manny Scott_speaking

STAC was created as a bridge between Central Office and SCSD teachers. This group of educators, representing each school in the District, works directly with Superintendent Contreras to provide input on key decisions, share challenges and successes and more.

The meeting will take place at the SCSD Professional Development Center (1005 West Fayette Street) beginning at 9:00 am on Thursday, February 25.
