‘Beating the Metric for Restart’ County Executive Ryan McMahon’s Daily Briefing – 5-28-20

We have lost 130 neighbors to this pandemic. The County Executive again reminds us to keep those who have experienced loss in your prayers. It’s very difficult to grieve. While we’ve done better than other communities, we’ve lost 130 people according to McMahon, “It highlights how vicious this virus has been”

33,720 tests administered, 32,612 test have been returned 695 tests since Wednesday. 1,992 positive cases since March 16th.  19 new cases Thursday, with 30,620 negative results, we sent 1,431 tests on Wednesday, there are 938 pending tests. 6.1% of the results we receive are positive. McMahon believes those numbers will fall as we implement new testing.   775 is the daily number for our region, 1,626 tests in the region 1,284 daily average of tests. From May 21st – 27th beating the metric for restart.
