Sealed bids for Cicero Senior Center Building and Site Renovations will be received at the office of the Town Clerk, Town of Cicero, 8236 Brewerton Rd, Cicero, New York, 13039, until 10:00 a.m., Local Time, March 31, 2020 and there at said office at said time publicly opened and read aloud.
Project includes building and site renovations to meet current ADA code. Building modifications involve enlarging main vestibule with new doors, windows, heater and electric handicap door opening system. Exterior improvements include the installation of concrete sidewalks, rails, handicap activator posts and sewer cleanout boxes.
The project is funded by a grant from the Onondaga County Community Development Division. Bidders will be required to commit themselves to a goal for minority and women business participation in the Contract. These goals are outlined in the Information for Bidders Section of the Contract Documents. Approximately 80% of costs will be financed with Federal money.

Documents will be available March 12, 2020. A refundable deposit of $30.00 is required and Plans can be shipped for an additional delivery charge.
Copies of the above described Contract Documents may be examined at no expense at the Office of the Town Clerk, Town of Cicero, 8236 Brewerton Rd, Cicero, New York, 13039, the office of Terry Horst Landscape Architecture PC, 306 Hawley Avenue, Syracuse, New York, 13203, and Onondaga County Community Development Division, 1100 Civic Center, 421 Montgomery Street, Syracuse, New York, 13202.
A Pre-Bid meeting will be held on site March 19th at 9:00AM.
The Owner is exempt from the payment of sales and compensating use taxes of the State of New York and of cities and counties on all materials, equipment and supplies sold to the Owner pursuant to this Contract. Also exempt from such taxes are purchases by the Contractor and his Subcontractors of materials, equipment and supplies to be sold to the Owner pursuant to this Contract, including tangible personal property to be incorporated in any structure, building or other real property forming part of the Project. These taxes are not to be included in the Bid.
Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, cash, certified check, or cashier’s check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders.
The right is reserved to waive any informalities in the Bid and to reject any or all Bids.
