City Began Work Tuesday on Euclid Avenue Reconstruction Project, Including New Bike Lanes

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The city of Syracuse Department of Public Works (DPW) announced  that work will commence Tuesday September 26th on the reconstruction of Euclid Avenue.

The long-anticipated project will result in the creation of new bike lanes along the avenue. Beginning Tuesday, DPW crews will begin cutting and digging for new curbs.

During the course of the project, no parking signs will be posted along the street. Traffic will be reduced to a single lane or detoured intermittently. Residents will be notified to changes using door hangers. Work will begin between Westcott Street and Maryland Avenue and proceed to Lancaster Avenue.
