City Issues Downtown Traffic Advisory for Friday, March 10

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The City of Syracuse issued the following traffic advisories for drivers in Downtown on Friday, March 10, 2017.

Beginning at 9:00 a.m. and lasting through 10:00 a.m., South Salina Street between Erie Boulevard and Washington Streets will be closed for the annual Painting of the Stripe ceremony. Drivers will be detoured around this intersection to facilitate the event.

From 7:00 a.m. through 2:00 p.m., the 200 block of East Onondaga Street will be closed for the funeral services of the Most Rev. James M. Moynihan, former Bishop of the Syracuse Catholic Diocese, being held at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.  Drivers may also experience intermittent delays along Jefferson and Montgomery Streets around the Cathedral during those services.
