SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The City of Syracuse Department of Parks, Recreation, and Youth Programs issued a traffic advisory for the Juneteenth Festival, taking place on Saturday, June 18 in Clinton Square.
The Juneteenth Festival will start with a parade from the Dunbar Center to Clinton Square, from 11 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Motorists should expect intermittent delays on the following streets:
- State Street, from East Kennedy Street to New Street
- New Street, from State Street to Salina Street
- Salina Street, from New Street to Clinton Square
In order to facilitate the festival, the following street closing schedule will be in effect:
- West Water Street, from Clinton Street to Salina Street, will be closed at 6:30 a.m. on Friday, June 17, through late Sunday morning, June 19.
- West Water Street, from Clinton Street to Franklin Street, will become a two-way from 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 17, through late Sunday morning, June 19.
- Erie Boulevard West, from Clinton Street to Franklin Street, will be closed from 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 17, through late Sunday morning, June 19.
- Clinton Street, from Genesee Street to Washington Street, will be closed from 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 17, through late Sunday morning, June 19.
- Salina Street, from Genesee Street to Washington Street, will be closed from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 18.
