Spring yard waste setouts begin the weekend of March 30-31 in the Northeast quadrant
Syracuse, N.Y. – With Spring arriving soon, the City of Syracuse Department of Public Works is announcing the 2019 curbside pickup schedule for yard waste and construction debris. Spring setouts begin by quadrants in the city on the weekend of March 30-31.
The City provides residents with curbside pickup of yard waste and residential construction debris. Residents can set materials out on the following weekends based on the geographic quadrants in which they live:
Northeast: March 30-31
Southeast: April 6-7
Southwest: April 13-14
Northwest: April 20-21
In the event that snow and ice prevent collecting and setting out yard waste for the first pickups, all residents receive a second spring pickup approximately one month after their first visit.
Residents will receive localized information sheets next week at home indicating the schedule of their pickups for the year and providing detailed instructions for set outs. Digital versions of the schedules, including maps showing each quadrant, are available online at: http://www.syrgov.net/yardwaste_schedule
