City of Syracuse COVID-19 Community Information: Mayor Walsh’s Updates May 4-18


Mayor Walsh delivered his weekly update on the City’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. As the Central New York region begins phase one reopening, the Mayor urged residents to demonstrate resolve and continue to follow social distancing and safe practices.

The briefing covered declining crime numbers in the City; the start of a major planned water main repair on the near south side; progress on Salina Plaza at the corner of Salina and Fayette streets downtown; the return of parking meter enforcement; and the reopening of tennis courts and golf courses with safety guidelines at city parks.
