Mayor Ben Walsh today was joined by several community partners to welcome DocuPet, a municipal pet licensing service, and celebrate the opening of its United States headquarters in downtown Syracuse. Light refreshments will be served and four-legged guests are welcomed.
DocuPet partnered with the City of Syracuse, CenterState CEO, and SUNY Oswego to launch its pet licensing program in the United States. DocuPet is one of the first Canadian companies to utilize a joint economic development partnership between CenterState CEO and its counterparts in Kingston, Ontario to assist businesses interested in opening U.S. locations. As part of the company’s launch, DocuPet selected Syracuse as its U.S. headquarters location, opening for business in The Tech Garden. The office will run shipping, customer service and marketing operations for all United States jurisdictions.
The Mayor’s Office announced in September that DocuPet would begin processing dog licenses for the City. Syracuse dog owners now have the ability to register their dogs and renew their pet license online at syracuse.docupet.com.
