Consensus CNY Holds First Public Meetings on February 1

Syracuse, N.Y.,  – Consensus, the Commission on Local Government Modernization, kicks off its series of public engagement meetings with events on Monday, February 1, 2016 in Syracuse and Dewitt.  The meetings, which are open to the public, are designed to gather feedback on the Consensus Options Report and Preliminary Committee Recommendations, which was published on January 26, 2016.

Consensus launched in 2014 as a collaborative effort among community, business and political leaders with the goal of shaping a vision for more effective and efficient governance across Onondaga County.

Consensus public engagement meetings will be held throughout the City of Syracuse and Onondaga County through March 16, 2016.  Once the comment period concludes, the Commission will review and consider all public comments and issue its final recommendations in late April 2016.
