Crime Blotter March 30th, 2021: Syracuse Police Department Face Barrage of Calls in One Hour

Stabbing with Injuries at N. State Street / Butternut Street -Tuesday, March 30th, 2021, at around 5:15 P.M., Officers responded to St. Joseph’s Hospital for a stabbing investigation. Upon arrival, Officers located a 17-year-old male who was stabbed in the hand.  The victim was self-transported to the hospital and is expected to survive. The location of the incident was at N. State Street / Butternut Street.

Shooting with Injuries on Midland Ave. – Tuesday, March 30th, 2021, at around 5:28 P.M., Officers responded to Ballantyne Road and Midland Avenue for a shooting with injuries.  Upon arrival, Officers located a 19-year-old male who was shot in the leg multiple times.  The victim was transported to Upstate Hospital, where he is expected to survive. Several casings were found in the area.

Shots Fired, Bullets Strike Parked Car 7 Year-Old inside Not Injured -Tuesday, March 30th, 2021, at around 5:49 P.M., Officers responded to the 100 block of Bishop Avenue for a shots fired call. Upon arrival, Officers located evidence of a shots fired, and several casings were located. A vehicle that was parked in the area was struck by gunfire. A 7-year-old child occupied the car but was not struck. No injuries were reported.  ​

Stabbing Call on Wolf Street with Injuries – Tuesday, March 30th, 2021, at around 6:01 P.M., Officers responded to the 400 block of Wolf Street for a stabbing call. Upon arrival, Officers located an adult female who was stabbed in the chest .  The victim was transported to Upstate Hospital, where she is expected to survive.
