Due to Black Lives Matters Protest Some businesses on South Salina Street plan to close early or have already closed

Alliance of Communities Transforming Syracuse (ACTS) is joining the National Action Network, CNY NYCLU, and other community groups in supporting these leaders in an effort to ensure both a powerful and safe event.

However, due to the protest some downtown businesses have decided to close. The Day Care at the Federal Building has been told by Homeland Security to close early.

Clark’s Ale House, Aloha Japanese Bento Express, Dunkin Donuts and Liehs & Steigerwalds all closed around 2 p.m.

Black Lives Matter March and Protest for 4:00 PM Monday, July 18th. It will begin at the Jerry Rescue Monument in Clinton Square on the Clinton Street side. The walk is approximately 1.2 miles.
