FIT! Parks Health Chat series
FIT Parks Health Chats, led by local health, fitness, and nutrition experts, will be held on the 2nd Tuesday of the following months, at locations throughout the City. Future topics to include: Injury-free Running; Golf fitness; healthy meal planning; much more!
The free FIT! Parks Health Chat series comes to Burnet Park on Tuesday October 13th at 7pm. October’s Theme: “Fitness is Possible…No Matter What!”
Learn smart and safe methods for getting started with…and sticking to…an exercise program, regardless of age!
The presenter will be Dr. Dale Avers from the Physical Therapy Department at Upstate Medical University. Dr. Avers speaks nationally on topics related to optimal aging, functional evaluation, exercise, community-based exercise and evidence-based practice. Dr. Avers has been a practicing clinician in geriatrics and outpatient orthopedics for 30 years (from Upstate.edu website).
