Syracuse Community Health Center will provide screenings by Appointment at Salina Street Location April 20th
Syracuse, NY- The Syracuse Community Health Center, located at 819 S. Salina Street will be administering free breast and colorectal cancer screenings Tuesday, April 20, 2010 to those who do not have insurance or have limited health coverage as part of an Onondaga County Cancer Screening Program. Appointments are still available.
For those who do not have health insurance, or have limited health insurance coverage (e.g. high deductible or insurance does not cover screenings), the Cancer Services Program may be able to pay for a clinical breast exam, mammogram, Pap test, and colorectal cancer screening kit.
As part of the program participants will receive a free $10.00 gift card for completing the mammograms and a $5.00 gift card if eligible for a take-home colorectal cancer screening kit. The kit will need to be returned in two weeks. Refreshments will also be provided.
