GENIUS NY Virtual Pitch Finals to Award $3 Million


Five Finalists Compete for a $1 Million Grand Prize Investment

Join CenterState CEO and The Tech Garden as they host the virtual GENIUS NY Pitch Finals. Five GENIUS NY finalists will get five minutes to tell their story – who they are, what problem they’re solving, how they plan to scale, and why they want to do it in Central New York. Questions and answers from our judges will follow the pitches. One grand prize investment of $1 million will be awarded. The four runner-up teams will each receive a $500,000 investment.

The program features interviews about innovation and entrepreneurship happening in Central New York from Mayor Ben Walsh, County Executive Ryan McMahon and CenterState CEO President Rob Simpson. Throughout the premiere there will also be chances for the audience to get involved and win prizes.

The program, supported by Empire State Development Corporation, will invest nearly $3 million in the companies making it the largest business accelerator competition for the UAS industry in the world.

The five teams from around the world now have offices in Syracuse and will continue to grow their businesses over the course of the competition.
