Greater Syracuse Land Bank Paint the City Event

On Saturday July 15, 2017, the Land Bank is holding a second “Paint the City” event from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at 2110 S. Salina Street (parking lot behind the church off of Colvin). Volunteers are welcome to drop-in during these hours and help paint boards. Recess Coffee is donating coffee and Lewis & Tanner Paints has donating paints.

Over 40 volunteers showed up and painted 62 boards at the last Paint the City event, which was held on June 3. These decorated boards will be used to board doors and windows on vacant houses throughout the city.

Syracuse City School District art classes have been painting boards, as well..
Earlier this year 40 Below’s Public Arts Task Force sponsored a similar project on Midland Ave.
