Happening Monday: City of Syracuse to Honor 60th Anniversary of Ghana’s Independence at City Hall

Mayor Miner Will Welcome Local Ghanaian Community Leaders and Issue a Proclamation in Honor of Ghana Independence Day

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse Mayor Stephanie A. Miner will honor the City of Syracuse’s Ghanaian community on the 60th anniversary of Ghana’s independence during a flag raising ceremony at Syracuse City Hall. The Mayor will issue a proclamation declaring Monday to be “Ghana Independence Day” in the City of Syracuse. The ceremony will take place on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. on the front steps of Syracuse City Hall, 233 East Washington Street in Syracuse.
