Syracuse, New York – Katko for Congress today announced that the New York State Independence Party has endorsed Congressman John Katko (NY-24) in his campaign for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives.
The endorsement recognizes Congressman Katko’s commitment to working across party lines to produce results for his district.
“Since taking office in 2015, John Katko has demonstrated that he is the independent, forward-thinking leader the people of Central New York deserve,” said Frank MacKay, Chairman of the New York State Independence Party. “We’ve stood with John in his two prior races for Congress, and we’re very proud to endorse him again this year,” MacKay continued.
“I am honored and humbled to have once again earned the support of the New York State Independence Party,” said Congressman Katko. “Throughout my time in Congress, I have worked to be an independent voice for individuals and families in Central New York. I will continue to work to fight through gridlock and advance bipartisan reforms on the issues that matter most to our community.”
Congressman John Katko was elected in November 2014 to represent 24th Congressional District of New York, which includes Onondaga, Cayuga, and Wayne Counties and the western portion of Oswego County.
