JBM Media Services Wins 2013 Videographer Award of Distinction

SYRACUSE, NY (August 23, 2013) – The Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals recently named JBM Media Services as a winner of the 2013 Videographer Award of Distinction for its conceptual, editing and production work of a video featuring the volunteer work of 100 Black Men of Syracuse, Inc.

At just under 10 minutes long, “Who We Are, What We Do, What We Bring” offers an visual overview of the 100 Black Men of Syracuse’s education, health and wellness, economic empowerment and mentoring programs. Members of the organization’s leadership team and several local young men who benefited from the 100’s mentoring programs are featured in the video.

“It was our pleasure to premiere the video at the organization’s fifth annual fundraising banquet last December,” said. J.B. McCampbell, principal owner of JBM Media Services. “The recognition that comes with the Videographer Award of Distinction should be shared with all the members of 100 Black Men of Syracuse, who do so much good work for our community.”

The Videographer Awards is one of the most coveted awards in the video industry. Over the past 17 years, thousands of production and communication professionals have entered their best and most creative work. The goal of the Videographer Awards is to identify and recognize the video artisans who excel in the scope of their own environment. Winners range from network news operations, local cable access and large production companies to freelancers, international advertising agencies and student producers.

There were over 1,500 entries throughout the United States and several other countries. The award of distinction was awarded for projects that exceeded industry standards. Approximately 12 percent of the entries won this award.

The Videographer Awards is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (http://www.amcpros.com). The international organization consists of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, media production and free-lance professionals who have entered AMCP programs. The Advisory Board oversees awards and recognition programs, provides judges and sets standards of excellence.
