Syracuse residents will urge Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and President Biden to deliver transformative voting rights legislation to the American people before it’s too late

Syracuse, NY — This week, local activists are hosting a Freedom to Vote – Time to Act Rally urging Senator Chuck Schumer  to do everything in his power to pass the Freedom to Vote Act as part of more than 80 similar events nationwide. Local activists will gather together to send a clear message to the Senate and President Biden during the November Senate recess that now is the time to act before it’s too late.

Extremist state legislators have spent the last year putting up barriers to voting in one state after another and are now drawing districts to benefit themselves, carving up communities and attempting to drown out the voices of millions of American voters for the next decade. With the 2022 midterm elections quickly approaching, it’s critical Senator Chuck Schumer and the Senate at large take action to protect our freedom to vote and realize the promise of democracy for all.
