Man Shot in Butternut Street Area Syracuse Police are Investigating

Syracuse, N.Y. – On Thursday October 25th, 2018 at approximately 12:25 AM, Syracuse Police Officers responded to 901 Butternut Street, Tommy’s Bar, in regards to a shooting call.  Upon arrival, Officers met with a 34 year old male who was suffering from gunshot wounds to his legs.  The victim was transported to Upstate University Hospital by AMR Ambulance for treatment.  His injuries are not considered life threatening.

Witnesses report seeing the victim and the suspect being involved in a verbal dispute prior to the shooting.  The suspect was described as a black male in his teens, approximately 6’ tall, wearing all dark clothing.
