Mayor-Elect Ben Walsh Announces Full Transition Team

The committees will address neighborhood quality of life and safety, education, economic inclusion, city finances, inauguration, and jobs in the new administration.

Syracuse, NY (November 28, 2017) – Syracuse Mayor-elect Ben Walsh has announced the
members of his full transition team. These members will serve on six committees, including three that parallel the pillars of his Syracuse Rising platform, focused on quality of life and safety in our neighborhoods, academic achievement in our schools, and economic opportunity for all. There are also committees for city finances, the inauguration, and employment with the new administration.

“The transition team reflects the broad coalition of people we brought together during my
campaign, representing different neighborhoods, backgrounds and points of view.” Walsh says. “These committee members will address the greatest areas of need in our city, and will work to inclusively share ideas and actions for change.”

The transition team includes individuals with experience in education, business, community leadership, non-profit, arts, religion, and organized labor.
