JSCB Phase II Project to Renovate 14 SCSD Schools Seeking Program Management Services
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Mayor Stephanie A. Miner announced that a request for proposals (RFP) for program management services for the Joint Schools Construction Board (JSCB) Phase II project is now available.
“Seeking program management services for JSCB Phase II is a major step to improving the educational infrastructure in our community,” said Syracuse Mayor Stephanie A. Miner. “I am pleased this information will now be available so the process for renovating our schools can continue.”
JSCB Phase II will perform 14 renovation projects (JSCB-Phase-II-project) in the Syracuse City School District at a cost of up to $300 million. The project was authorized in 2013 by the New York State Legislature and a final financing package will need to be approved by the New York State Comptroller.

Proposals are due by February 19, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. to the City of Syracuse Office of Management and Budget. A public pre-submittal meeting for potential bidders will be held on Thursday, January 22 at 2:00 p.m. in the Common Council Chambers. This will be an opportunity for potential bidders to have their questions answered by JSCB staff members. Additional questions may be submitted by email to email@example.com until February 3, 2015.
The first phase of JSCB projects resulted in the total renovation of four schools. HW Smith K-8 School, Fowler High School, Dr. Weeks Elementary School, and the Institute of Technology at Syracuse Central all received major renovations which were completed in 2014.
