Jewish Ceremony for the New Year Standing with Immigrants- Open to the Community
Sunday, October 6, 4pm at Barry Park – next to the body of water on Meadowbrook and Broad Streets.
Please join us in Barry Park at the entrance near Broad Street on Sunday afternoon October 6 at 4 o’clock when we will engage in the traditional Jewish new year ritual of Tashlich .
We will name all the things we want to get rid of in our personal, communal and global world and make prayers for the world we want to usher in through our prayers and actions.
We will link this to the horrors of the immigration situation at the border, and include justice for all immigrants in our collective vision of a better world. The ritual will be less than an hour and will be child and family friendly.
The event is being organized by a collective of Jews in Central New York who part of the national movement to state that #NeverAgainIsNow.
