New at ArtRage: Creativity as a Human Right

Sponsored by the Lender Center for Social Justice at Syracuse University

Please join us on Thursday, November 11th for the upcoming free virtual event sponsored by the Lender Center for Social Justice at Syracuse University. This is an afternoon event of moderated conversations intended to expand our common understanding of access to creative activity as a universal and inalienable human right, while also rethinking creativity as an emancipatory form of social intelligence.

Starting with a keynote presentation on the arts and social justice by Dr. Amelia Kraehe and closing with a spotlight dialogue with renowned contemporary artists Carrie Mae Weems and Helen Zughaib, the day will also be packed with invited educators, activists (including ArtRage’s own Kimberley McCoy), and scholars deeply invested in the achievement of greater equity.

Stay for the whole day if you can or stop in for the conversations most relevant to your own work and commitments!
