New Partnership will Create Shelter for LGBTQ Youth

The Rescue Mission Alliance and ACR Health announce their collaboration on the opening of an emergency shelter for runaway and homeless youth with a focus on LGBTQ youth.

The Rescue Mission Alliance is a nonprofit fighting to end homelessness and hunger across Upstate New York, with operations in Syracuse, Auburn, Ithaca and Binghamton. Our mission is to share hope, end hunger and homelessness, change lives, and strengthen communities one person at a time.

ACR Health’s Q Centers provide comprehensive programming for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning/queer (LGBTQ) youth and young adults ages 8 to 29 and children of LGBTQ parents, their families, allies, teachers, school administrators, school counselors, school social workers, and health and human service providers in our nine-county service area.
