Sealed bids will be received by Town of Salina at: 201 School Road, Liverpool, NY 13088 until 10:00 a.m. on July 23, 2015, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.
The work site is located within the Town of Salina limits with work to be performed at Burnham Park located off of Malden Road, in Mattydale, NY, Onondaga County.
The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: Renovations to the existing restrooms; including replacement of plumbing fixtures, replacement of bathroom accessories, upgraded electrical lighting, epoxy flooring, and paint.
Drawings and Specifications may be examined at the Town of Salina, 201 School Road, Liverpool, NY 13088 and at the office of CHA Consulting, Inc., The Galleries of Syracuse, 441 South Salina Street, Syracuse NY 13202. The contract specifications and drawings may also be examined free of charge at the Onondaga County Community Development Office, 1100 Civic Center, 42l Montgomery Street, Syracuse, N.Y., 13202.
Complete sets of the drawings, specifications and bid forms may be obtained from the Town of Salina Town Clerk, Ms. Jeannie Ventre, at the Town of Salina offices located at 201 School Road, Liverpool, NY 13088, in accordance with the Instructions To Bidders. Contract Documents will be provided electronically on a compact disc (CD) in PDF format and may be obtained at no cost. Contractors that obtain Contract Documents from a source other than the Issuing Office (Town of Salina) must notify the Issuing Office in order to be placed on the official Plan Holders List, receive Addenda and other Bid correspondence. Bids received from Contractors other than those on the official Plan Holders list may not be accepted.
All bids must be made on the official Bid Form or an exact copy by reproduction thereof and enclosed in a sealed envelope. This is a Lump Sum bid as described in the Instructions To Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty five calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of five percent of the base bid in accordance with the Instructions To Bidders.
The successful Bidder will be required to furnish construction performance and payment bonds in the full amount of the contract price.
The successful bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of the Federal Government Equal Employment Opportunity clauses issued by the Secretary of Labor on May 21, 1968 and published in the Federal Register (41CFR Part 60-1, 33 F.2 7804).
This project is funded (in part) by a grant from the Onondaga County Community Development Division.
Approximately $50,000.00 of the project cost will be financed with federal money. Bidders will be required to commit themselves to a goal for minority business participation in the contracts.
