Onondaga Community College Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse teams have made it to the national semifinals and will play for national championships this weekend.
The Men’s team is seeded number. The men’s national semifinals which will be played on the OCC campus on Chuck Wilbur Field at Lazer Stadium.
Busy weekend as OCC’s commencement ceremony will be held Saturday, May 12 at 10am in the SRC Arena and Events Center.
The schedule is as follows:
- Saturday, May 12
o 1:00pm – #1 OCC v #4 Howard CC
o 3:30pm – #2 Nassau CC v #3 Genesee CC
- Sunday, May 13
o 1:00pm – National Championship game
OCC’s Men’s team is undefeated and the defending national champions. Last year the Lazers defeated Howard CC to win their 10th national championship.
The championship trophy presentation will happen immediately after Sunday’s championship game.
OCC Women’s team will play in the national semifinals at Monroe Community College in Rochester. The schedule is as follows:
- Saturday, May 12
o 11:00am – #1 Monroe CC v #4 Anne Arundel CC
o 2:00pm – #2 OCC v #3 Harford CC
- Sunday, May 13
o 1:00pm – National Championship game
OCC’s Women’s Lacrosse team has won national championships in 2009 and 2012.
