Onondaga County Sheriff’s Detectives Charge 4 in Connection with Lyncourt Shooting

Town of Salina, New YorkThe Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office has charged four family members in connection with the shooting of two people last Wednesday in Lyncourt.

On Wednesday, May 27th, at approximately 10:41 P.M., deputies responded to the 200 block of Roxford Road North in the Town of Salina for a shooting with injuries. Upon arrival, deputies located two adult male victims on the street who had been shot. One of the male victims, a 45 year old male, was shot multiple times and was transported to Upstate University Hospital with serious injuries. The second victim, a 32 year old male, sustained minor injuries and was also transported to Upstate University Hospital.

A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of four individuals. Detectives charged Michael Wilson (44) of Larkspur Drive, Baldwinsville and a 17 year old male from Lyncourt with assault in the 1st and 2nd degree, criminal use of a firearm in the 1st degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the 4th degree. Detectives also charged Branden Wilson (18) of Roxford Road North with menacing in the 2nd degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the 4th degree. Payton Wilson (19) also of Roxford Road North, was charged with reckless endangerment in the 2nd degree.

Michael Wilson and the 17 year old male were arraigned yesterday evening in Centralized Arraignment Court with bail set at $10,000 cash $20,000 bond. The 17 year old was remanded to the Hillbrook Detention Center. Both have since made bail. Branden and Payton Wilson were both released on an appearance ticket.

Detectives say an argument between the men lead to the shooting.
