PACCNY, the Pan African Community of Central New York, will be observing this year’s Africa Day (in commemoration of Africa’s liberation) on May 26th, 2018 (venue to be announced later). This year’s celebration will include a talent show/cultural extravaganza featuring the Syracuse community’s outstanding artists performing music, song, dance, poetry and story-telling. We warmly invite you to show up in numbers in order to celebrate the gifts of art, imagination and performance in our midst. We promise you a memorable afternoon.
Please note that the event is also a fundraiser in support of PACCNY’s work in the community. Tickets will be on sale through members of PACCNY: adults (18+) @ $15 per person; seniors and students (IDs required) @$10 per individual. Please make sure you secure your ticket soon as indications are that they will be in great demand. Tickets will also be on sale at the door, while donations will be most welcome. With evidence of an official ID, those under 18 may attend the event free of charge. In case you are unable to attend, please consider sending us a generous donation at the following address: PACCNY Treasurer, University Station, P.O. Box 37033, Syracuse, NY 13235.
