FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
PARK HILL REDEVELOPMENT PHASE 5 – CONTRACT NO.6
FREDERICK STREET AND NORTH HIGHLAND A VENUE SIDEWALKS

TOWN OF DEWITT
ONONDAGA COUNTY, NEW YORK

Sealed bids for the construction of Park Hill Redevelopment Phase 5 – Contract No.6 will be received at the office of the Town Clerk, Town of DeWitt, 5400 Butternut Drive, East Syracuse, New York, 13057, until 11:00 A.M., local time, August 6, 2013 and there at said office at said time publicly opened and read aloud.

This project includes the construction of approximately 2,225 feet of concrete sidewalks along Frederick Street and a portion of North Highland A venue in the Park Hill Neighborhood in the Town of DeWitt, Onondaga County, New York.

This project is funded (in part) by a $50,000 grant from the Onondaga County Community Development Division.

Bidders will be required to commit themselves to a goal for minority business participation in the Contract.

The Contract Documents may be obtained only from the Town of DeWitt, 5400 Butternut Drive, East Syracuse, New York 13057 upon payment of a non-refundable amount of$40 per set.Checks shall be made payable to the Town of DeWitt.

Copies of the above described Contract Documents may be examined at no expense at the Office of the Town Clerk, Town of DeWitt, 5400 Butternut Drive, DeWitt, New York, 13057 and the Onondaga County Community Development Division Office, 1100 Civic Center, 421 Montgomery Street, Syracuse, New York, 13202 (315-435-3558).

The Owner is exempt from the payment of sales and compensating use taxes of the State of New York and of cities and counties on all materials, equipment and supplies sold to the Owner pursuant to this Contract. Also exempt from such taxes are purchases by the Contractor and his Subcontractors of materials, equipment and supplies to be sold to the Owner pursuant to this Contract, including tangible personal property to be incorporated in any structure, building or other real property forming part of the Project. These taxes are not to be included in the Bid.

Each Bid must be accompanied by cash, certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5) of the amount of the Bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders.

The right is reserved to waive any informalities in the Bid and to reject any or all Bids.
