Recent Shootings December 21-22nd in Syracuse, One Person Dies

Tuesday, December 22nd, 2020, at around 3:36 A.M., Officers were waved down in the 700 block of Butternut Street by a 21-year-old male victim shot in the shoulder. The victim was transported to Upstate Hospital, where he is expected to survive. The incident location is not clear at this time.

Monday, December 21st, 2020, at around 2:43 P.M., Officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of Pond St. for a shooting with injuries call. A short time later, a 25-year-old male was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital, by private transport, with a gunshot wound to the back. The victim is expected to survive.

Monday, December 21st, 2020, at around 8:37 P.M., Officers responded to the 100 block of Clyde Ave. for a shots fired call. At around the same time, Officers received reports that a car was crashed near a house in the 300 block of Hillview Ave.  When Officers responded to the car crash, they discovered Ptolemy Droz, 21, of Syracuse, a 21-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the head. Mr. Droz was pronounced dead on the scene.
