Syracuse, NY — U.S. Rep. John Katko (NY-24) held a virtual workshop to help Central New York seniors navigate the ongoing Medicare Open Enrollment Period.
The workshop was held via Zoom on Friday, October 23, 2020 at 9:30am. Rep. Katko was joined by an expert from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and providers. Together, they provided information and resources on the open enrollment period, which started on October 15 and ends on December 7. They also answered questions from Central New York seniors and discuss plans available to Medicare beneficiaries.
“During the Medicare Open Enrollment Period, seniors may be able to save money or have more efficient coverage by reviewing or updating their plan,” said Rep. Katko. The Medicare Open Enrollment Period, which began on October 15th and ends on December 7th. “I encourage seniors to review their current plans during this time”
