Syracuse, New York – U.S. Rep. John Katko (NY-24) today announced that he will host a public forum this month focused on Wayne County’s vast agriculture economy. The event will be held Tuesday, August 15 at 7:00 p.m. in the community room at the Wayne County Public Safety Building.
Like past community forums on issues of importance to the 24th Congressional District, Rep. Katko will be joined by a panel of local experts to answer questions.
“Agriculture is a key driver for Wayne County’s economy, and I’m committed to fighting for policies that will help our local family farms grow and thrive. As Congress begins its work on the upcoming Farm Bill, it is critical that I take the input of my constituents back to Washington,” said U.S. Rep. John Katko. “I look forward to hearing from our community, and engaging with local farmers and growers at this forum.”
The event is Katko’s eighth public community forum since 2015. The event is free and open to the public. Only credentialed members of the media will be permitted to tape. Time will be allotted for questions.
