Washington, D.C. — U.S. Rep. John Katko (NY-24) was this afternoon named Ranking Member on the House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Cybersecurity, Infrastructure Protection, and Innovation.
“I am excited to serve in this new role on the House Homeland Security Committee,” said Rep. Katko. “As our nation becomes more and more dependent on technology, we must also remain vigilant to address and improve our cyber protections. I’m looking forward to pursuing bipartisan policies that strengthen our nation’s cybersecurity infrastructure and improve private-public partnerships. I am eager to begin work alongside Ranking Member Rogers, Chairman Thompson, and all members of the full committee as we continue our bipartisan efforts to keep this country safe.”
During the 114th and 115th Congress, Rep. Katko served as Chairman of the Transportation & Protective Security Subcommittee, where he had oversight of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and the U.S. Secret Service.
