The Central New York Community Foundation is a public charity that collects contributions from donors, manages them to grow over time and then distributes funding to local charities to help them thrive. The Community Foundation strives to strengthen local nonprofits, encourage better understanding of the region and address the most critical issues of our time.

CNY Community Foundation

Its most recent effort, Black Equity & Excellence, supports community-based projects for the Black community of Central New York that promote and encourage self-sufficiency and improve the physical and economic conditions that affect quality of life. It also encourages dialogue that will strengthen race-related matters and support social and educational growth in the community.

We offer two-year degree programs that serve as transfer opportunities to baccalaureate degree programs at four-year campuses or for direct entry to the workforce. We also offer certificate programs that can generally be completed in one year. Through Onondaga’s regional higher education center, students can earn a bachelor’s degree on the Onondaga campus through innovative partnerships with SUNY Empire State College, SUNY Cobleskill, SUNY Delhi, Kaplan University and Keuka College.
