Shots Fired Call on Belleview Ave. Lead to Several Arrests

On Sunday, December 12th, 2021, at around 11:44 A.M., Officers responded to the 1800 block of Bellevue Avenue for a shots fired call. Upon arrival, Officers located evidence of a shots fired, and several casings were found between the 1800-2000 blocks of Bellevue Avenue.

The investigation revealed that one vehicle was chasing another in the area. During the chase, a passenger in one of the vehicles began firing gunshots at the other car. Both vehicles fled the scene after the shots.

Later, Officers spotted the suspect vehicle that was firing gunshots driving on Seeley Road. At one point, Officers lost sight of the car. It was during this time that several gunshots were reported on Milnor Avenue. Officers were able to relocate the vehicle and engaged in a pursuit, which eventually ended with the suspect vehicle crashing in the 300 block of Waring Road, in the Town of DeWitt.

During the pursuit, two handguns were tossed from the suspect vehicle and later recovered by Officers. After the crash, several occupants of the suspect vehicle fled. Officers were able to catch several parties and two others got away.

In the end, Malcolm Barner, 26, Jamar Sheppard, 25, and a 16-year-old male were arrested and charged for the shots fired call on Milnor Avenue. Several casings and two vehicles were found to have been struck by gunfire on Milnor Avenue.
