Shots Fired on S. Geddes Street following altercation at Safe Way Market

On Wednesday, May 19th, 2021, at around 3:20 P.M., Officers responded to the 1100 block of S. Geddes Street for a shots fired call. Upon arrival, Officers located evidence of a shots fired, and a casing was found. The investigation revealed that two adult males were involved in a physical altercation at the Safe Way Market located at 1101 South Geddes Street. During the dispute, one of the males displayed a handgun and fired one round. The conflict briefly continued before both males stopped and fled the store. No injuries have been reported.  The investigation is active and ongoing; anyone with information is asked to call the Syracuse Police Department at (315) 442-5222. ​
