SNUG 315 Syracuse hosted the 3rd Annual #UnityDay Community Cookout at Wilson Park


Promoting peaceful conflict resolution and combating street violence through outreach, SNUG 315 Syracuse hosted the 3rd Annual #UnityDay Community Cookout at Wilson Park on  August 9, 2019. The event is the third of four taking place this summer in an effort to encourage unity on the Southside.

Mayor Walsh got to speak to the organizers, peace advocates, and community members at the event. Food, entertainment, bounce houses and vendors from public health organizations was made available to everyone.

The SNUG Outreach program provides support to non-profit organizations in 11 different cities across New York State working to prevent and respond to incidents that involve gun violence.
