Syracuse Police Respond to James Street Stabbing- Wednesday, March 3rd 2021, at around 8:25 P.M., Officers responded to 1019 James St. for an assault-type call. Upon arrival, Officers located a 41-year-old male who was stabbed in the chest. The victim was transported to Upstate Hospital, where he is expected to survive. The investigation revealed that a dispute took place between the victim and another female, Virginia Finch, 41, as the two were hanging out in a residence. The interaction turned violent, and during the dispute, Finch stabbed the victim in the chest. Finch was arrested and charged with Assault in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree. Finch was lodged at the Justice Center.
Man Stabbed on Court Street Investigation Reveals –Thursday, March 4th, 2021, at around 4:58 P.M., Officers responded to St. Joseph’s Hospital for a stabbing investigation. Upon arrival, Officer located a 39-year-old male who was stabbed in the head. The male is expected to survive. The investigation revealed that this incident took place in the 1900 block of Court St.
Hit and Run Injuring two Appears to be Intentional According to Police-Saturday, March 6th, 2021 at around 1:58 A.M., Officers responded to the 100 block of W. Bissell St. for a hit and run involving pedestrians. Upon arrival, Officers located Isiah German, 30, of Syracuse, and Saleema Sansaurus, 25, of Syracuse, who had recently been hit by an SUV that fled the scene after the collision.
Both victims sustained injuries and were transported to Upstate Hospital, where they are expected to survive. Officers later located the suspect vehicle in the 100 block of Marvin Rd. It was occupied by Rolanda Campbell, 40 of Syracuse, and Lenon Taylor, 40, of Syracuse. It was later learned that Campbell was driving the car when it struck the two victims and that it was an intentionally act. When Officer located the vehicle later, Taylor was operating the vehicle and was in an intoxicated state.
In the end, Campbell was arrested and charged with two counts of Assault in the Second Degree, one count of Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree, and Driving While Intoxicated. Taylor was also charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
Fight at Destiny Results in Stabbing-Saturday, March 6th, 2021, at around 6:53 P.M., Officers responded to the interior of the Destiny USA mall for a fight call involving several adult males. When Officers arrived, the fight had already ended and the parties involved fled the area. A short time later, Officers located an adult male who was stabbed at least twice in the back and once in the side. The victim was transported to Upstate Hospital, where he is expected to survive.
