Four Lazer Student-Athletes Have Earned Individual National Championships.
Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse Teams Will Play For National Championships This Weekend.
Onondaga Community College Student-Athletes are having an outstanding spring sports season. Four student-athletes have earned individual NJCAA national championships. The Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse teams will be playing for national championships this coming weekend.
Student-athletes crowned national champions were:
- Jerome Luckey, Track & Field – He cleared 6’7” in the high jump at the NJCAA finals to earn national champion honors. Luckey is a freshman from Monticello High School.
- Jeremy Attrill, Men’s Tennis – He was 2nd singles national champion and teamed up with freshman Sebastian Perez to win the national championship for 1st doubles. Attrill is a sophomore from Australia.
- Ezequiel Martin, Men’s Tennis – He was 3rd singles national champion. Martin is a freshman from Argentina.
- Sebastian Perez, Men’s Tennis – He teamed up with Jeremy Attrill to win the national championship for 1st doubles. Perez is a freshman from Colombia.
- OCC’s Men’s Tennis team just missed out on the College’s 16th national championship, finishing second at the national tournament in Georgia.
The Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse teams will be playing for national championships this coming weekend. Their schedules are as follows:
Men’s Lacrosse National Semifinals – at Genesee Community College in Batavia
Saturday, May 18
- 1pm – Nassau CC v Howard CC
- 4pm – Onondaga CC v Harford CC
The winners will meet Sunday, May 19 at 4pm for the national championship.
Women’s Lacrosse National Semifinals – at Anne Arundel CC in Arnold, MD
Saturday, May 18
- 11:30am – Onondaga CC v Harford CC
- 2pm – Monroe CC v Anne Arundel CC
The winners will meet Sunday, May 19 at 12pm for the national championship.
OCC Men’s Lacrosse team is the two-time defending national champion and has won 11 titles overall. OCC’s Women’s Lacrosse team has won 2 national championships.
