“We are saddened again at the senseless loss of life to gun violence. I send my condolences to the family and the loved ones of the victim.
On the morning after we marked the start of Gun Violence Awareness Month in Syracuse and the rest of the country, it is a painful and personal reminder of the work ahead to end the tragedy of the gun violence in our city and our nation. Even if it does not touch you directly, gun violence affects us all. Overcoming its causes and effects will require an all-out effort, every single day, and that is what we will do. We will not stop trying.”
