Residents in the greater Syracuse area will gather to create materials for a Not Above the Law Rally aimed at pushing John Katko to hold Donald Trump accountable.
Syracuse, New York — Residents will gather at the Syracuse Center for Peace and Social Justice to create signs and visuals for an event scheduled next week, on the eve of the House impeachment vote. The signs will call on Representative John Katko (R- NY-24) to hold the President accountable for his actions by voting in favor of impeachment.
The mobilization will take place at 5:30 PM local time, the night before the U.S. House of Representatives votes to impeach Donald Trump for his high crimes and misdemeanors, activists will gather outside of the Federal Office Building as part of the nationwide “Nobody Is Above the Law” rallies. The event will be one of the hundreds of actions occurring nationwide in at least 48 states and Washington, D.C.
The mobilization is part of a massive, grassroots effort to ensure Congress holds Donald Trump accountable for using military aid to pressure Ukraine to interfere in our 2020 elections. Protestors will demand that the House of Representatives fulfills its constitutional duty by impeaching Donald Trump and that the Senate remove him from office for attempting to rig the 2020 elections. Congress must show that no one—including the criminal in the White House—is above the law.
