Syracuse Chapter Gospel Music Workshop of America Sings the “National Anthem” at Chiefs Game

The Syracuse Chapter of the Gospel Music Workshop of America (SGMWA), sang  the “National Anthem” at the Syracuse Chiefs Baseball game on Labor Day.  “This was an exciting experience for the group”, stated director, Dr. Joan Hillsman. Many positive comments were made from the audience who enjoyed our nation’s hymn.  It is always a pleasure to engage the group in exciting, new venues.  It has not always been occasions where gospel-based groups were invited to sing on such occasions. Pride for our nation can ring out in song, “o’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.”
