Syracuse Chapter of the National Action Network Saturday June 8th Topic: Salt City Market and Public Statement Regarding the Viral Video ‘Police Encounter’

The Syracuse Chapter of the National Action Network will meet this Saturday June 8th, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the Fountain of Life Church, located at 700 South Avenue, Syracuse NY 13207.

Their guest speaker will be Meg O’Connell from the Allyn Foundation to discuss the Salt City Market.  The Salt City Market is downtown food market/food hub and living space inclusive of all people from different backgrounds and ethnicity.

Salt City Market is about food; culture and helping people establish financial security by doing what they love.   They are looking for talented, driven people who want to start a food business and could use training and support. “Our first priority is communities of color and immigrant communities, a valuable and largely untapped resource.”  – Salt City Market

NAN will make a Public Statement to reiterate their stand regarding gun violence and the viral video /disturbing inappropriate police encounter at Skiddy Park.
