Syracuse City School District Students Compete in VEX Robotics Competition

On Saturday, February 6, 2016, the Syracuse City School District will host its 9th Annual City Vex Tournament.

Middle school students from Grant, Ed Smith, Danforth, Clary and H.W. Smith; will compete alongside high school students from ITC, Nottingham, Corcoran and PSLA at Fowler. Teams from Baldwinsville, Rome Free Academy, Tioga Central High School, Fulton, Westhill, Chittenango and Oswego will also be participating.

In the Vex tournament, teams will be competing for six open spots to advance to the state championship in March at Onondaga Community College’s SRC Arena. Winners from the State Championship will qualify for the World Championships in April in Louisville, Kentucky.

The schedule for the day is as follows:

The event will be held at PSLA at Fowler High School (227 Magnolia Street) in the gymnasium. Guests should use the school’s event entrance.
